He was on board the West Virginia when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. After the attack EM3c Brown's body could not be identified and he was listed as “Missing in Action” (MIA). Em3c Brown's brother was also on board the USS West Virginia and survived the attack. While at the Department of Defense in January 2012, retired Police Chief Rick Stone prepared reports on all of the West Virginia’s MIA’s using the Random Incident Statistical Correlation (RISC) System which he had created as a member of the Dallas Police Department. RISC listed EM3c Brown as a Most Likely Match to multiple West Virginia “Unknowns” buried the Punchbowl Cemetery in Honolulu, Hawaii, including Unknown X-143. On 13 June 2017, after over five years, the Department of Defense finally decided to act on Chief Stone's recommendations and began disinterring all of the USS West Virginia Unknowns. Researchers from the Chief Rick Stone and Family Charitable Foundation, using advanced law enforcement investigative techniques and sophisticated technologies not available at the Department of Defense (DoD), continued to research EM3c Brown's case. In October 2020, EM3c Brown's family contacted the Foundation for a comprehensive "Family Report" which narrowed the list of Most Likely Matches to only two Punchbowl "Unknowns", including Unknown X-143. The report was again offered to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA). EM3c Brown was recovered from the grave site in the Punchbowl Cemetery indicated by Chief Stone’s research in 2012 and his identification by the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory was officially announced on 11 May 2021. Here in CA your bill has exactly how much YOU are to tip your server 10, 15 , or 20% some locations are demanding a 25 to 30% tip. And in San Francisco you are also charged a city service fee!

Tipped employees, such as servers and bar tenders, always demand more money. In reality, the vast majority of tipped workers I know make way more money per week than standard wage employees. I have friends and family who've worked as servers in popular restaurants and they'd bring home at least $100-200 in tips DAILY. These people demand more money when they're already making more money than everyone else. It's ridiculous.

Just pay the servers the same as all the other employees who don't get tipped and tell the customers no tipping allowed, any tips left will be donated to charity not given to the server. Then watch all the servers leave for restaurants that still have the old minimum wage and tipping where they'll make MUCH more money.

I don't tip anyone anymore... the food costs enough already. Sorry, tipping might have been a thing 5 years ago but, these days..NOPE!! If you need tips get a better job... or your POS employer isn't paying you enough. Tipping is just not a thing anymore. I went to sonic (fast food) spent $12.00 on a reg burger meal deal... and a window popped up on the screen... do you want to tip? Ummm, nooo!! I just spent $12.00 on the food...how rich do they think we are???

I don't know if it's the same elsewhere, but where I live in Ohio, most restaurants are not doing well. Even the fast food joints. People aren't going out to eat because the price of everything has gotten out of hand. We went to Red Lobster earlier this month for my aunt's birthday and we were the only people there dining. And this was on a Friday night during peak hours. Typically we've had to wait for a table in the past.

If i knew my server was making $14 an hour, I'm not going to tip as much. Sorry, not sorry. I only make a little more then them and work hard for my money.

The servers where I live were recently (couple of years ago) given minimum wage the same as everyone else. I stopped tipping that day. I don't tip anyone for any reason where I live. I was ahead of the curve. I'm so comfortable with it now that even in a sit down restaurant I will look you in the eye, hand the PoS device back to you and ask *you* to remove the tip option. Get a better job, I don't work to supplement your income. Before this, servers did live off their tips and I tipped accordingly.

Not commenting on whether she should be fired or not, but the board needs to let their yes be yes and their no be no. Kids need to learn that crying, stomping their feet or holding their breath should have no effect on adult decisions. Public pressure should have no bearing on the case. Perhaps they have another reason and maybe the teacher was fired for another reason. It's hard to say on these things.
